Dr. Nikrooyan is a Board-certified ophthalmologist. Originally from Dallas Fort Worth, Dr. Nikrooyan received his medical degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After medical school, Dr. Nikrooyan completed his transitional internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Following his intern year, he returned to Lubbock to complete his Ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Nikrooyan completed a fellowship in Cornea, External disease, and Refractive surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan, New York. He is a seasoned LASIK refractive surgeon and is certified on several different blade-free LASIK systems. He is also certified on the Catalys Precision Laser System for Laser assisted cataract surgery. From treating veterans and West Texans in a level-one trauma center to performing refractive surgery for clientele on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, Dr. Idean Nikrooyan has experience treating a multitude of patients with varied medical, surgical, and refractive needs. Dr. Nikrooyan is thrilled to join the team at Kirby Eye Center and looks forward to serving his hometown community.
